Firstly, I congratulate our hard-working and successful mayor Mr. Hamdi SEDEFÇİ for the contributions he made Edirne till today. I would like to express him my wishes of sadness for this situation, on behalf of myself and people of Edirne.
In a such a period that the authority from the ruling party stated they passionately want Edirne, it will never be forgotten the distress warrants made to the mayor of Edirne. Whatever the circumstances are, it is not easy to deter the mayor to serve Edirne. Why are those kind of distress warrants not made to other municipalities? This reason of this double standard must be explained by the authority.
It is all on surface what Mr.Sedefçi made for Edirne, who served as a mayor for three consecutive terms. Whatever said, it is not possible not to get jealous of this success. While the municipality of Ankara is in debt of YTL 2.5 billion to the government, no any legal application has been made. Considering this, it will not be something right not to denounce this injustice made to Edirne municipality. What made to Mr.SEDEFÇİ is not something different than the policy of throwing mud at someone.
We trust our mayor Mr. Hamdi SEDEFÇİ. We are not in an idea of he has made a mistake. It is not something right and legal to make a comment for the matter in court. However, “everybody is innocent until his guilt is proven“. We believe that Judicary, Independent Turkish Courts will give the right judgment. To prevent some parties abuse this matter prior to the local elections, it will be right that it gets resulted soonest.
With my regards and respects to the people of Edirne who have showed their commitment to Republic, belief of democracy and law all the time and everywhere...
