The grassroots support for Hamdi Sedefçi, the Mayor of Edirne, who was arrested with a show-off operation, is growing larger and larger everyday.
With the comments they posted on the website www.hamdisedefci.com.tr, with the posters they placed on their houses, cars and shops, reading “WE BELIEVE AND TRUST IN YOU; WE ARE WITH YOU” as well as with the interviews broadcasted on ETV – the local TV channel of Edirne –, our fellow citizens of Edirne wholeheartedly support us in these hard times, stating that they will always back him and that they believe in the innocence of their Mayor.
Given these right-minded responses of the people of Edirne, the appreciation of our activities by our fellow countrymen truly pleased and honored us.
It should be remembered that we have put our lives at stake for our cause despite all obstacles, obstructions, harassment and threatening policies.
- Our cause is for Edirne.
- Our cause is for the Republic.
- Our cause is for Secularism.
- Our cause is for MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK.
No one, no force shall manage to discourage and dissuade us from this cause of ours.
As long as you the honorable people of Edirne back us, nobody shall stop and shall manage to prevent us from defending our cause.
Our honorable people should know that THE FULLY INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY of the Republic of Turkey founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk shall decree the correct verdict.
